Who are we?

The Branch is a contemporary worship community that strives to follow Christ in all that we do and to truly love one another. The Branch name comes from John 15 where Jesus said, “I am the Vine, you are the branches.”
At The Branch, we understand that we must be radically connected to God through Jesus in order to have true life. Those who have a loving relationship with God through Christ are also called to let God’s love shine through them to all people. We are The Branch, but our purpose is always to point to our true Vine and source, Jesus Christ. In other words when you come, we hope that you will meet the God that loves you and wants a life-giving relationship with you. We want to help you respond to that love in the context of community. We invite you to join us in that journey.
We are also a ministry and “branch” of Griffin First United Methodist Church. We invite you to be a part of what God is doing here!
What to Expect?
You will find a community that is welcoming to you and open to any questions you have in your journey. We have contemporary worship music, great food to enjoy in community, and messages that are true to Scripture and relevant to your life.
Who Can Come?
The Branch is a ministry that is open to all people from all different ages and backgrounds. So, everyone is welcome. We especially welcome those who are not connected with a church or maybe have never been to one. We want to make following Jesus as accessible as possible since we are all on that journey together. If you do not have a church home then we would love for you to be a part of our family at The Branch at Griffin First United Methodist Church.
What to Wear?
We believe that the most important thing about coming to worship is your heart, but we also recognize that you want to fit in with your surroundings. The atmosphere of The Branch is casual and relaxed, so you can come just as you are. You will see a variety of dress from shorts and jeans and t-shirts, to more traditional church attire. Most guys dress comfortably with khakis and a polo or a button up shirt and the ladies in skirts and dresses or pants and tops. Most importantly, we want to see YOU, not what you are wearing. It is the kind of place where you will be welcomed no matter what you wear.
